Cameron Highlands is a hill district in Pahang, Malaysia, known for its cool climate, rolling farmland, forested slopes, and mountain scenery. The highlands include several settlements, with Tanah Rata and Brinchang serving as the main visitor centers. Tea plantations cover many of the surrounding hillsides, while vegetable farms, flower gardens, and strawberry fields occupy other cultivated areas. The cooler temperatures make the region different from Malaysia's lowland cities and coastal destinations. Its landscape combines agricultural estates, small towns, forest reserves, and winding mountain roads across the central highlands.

The cultural landscape of Cameron Highlands reflects the influence of Malay, Chinese, Indian, and Indigenous communities. Tea cultivation and farming have shaped local livelihoods, while markets and small businesses reflect the area's multicultural population. Buddhist temples and Hindu shrines can be found around the highlands, alongside mosques and other places of worship. The Orang Asli, the Indigenous peoples of Peninsular Malaysia, also have communities in the wider highland region and maintain traditional knowledge of the surrounding forests. Local markets provide a useful introduction to the area's agricultural products and everyday community life.

Tea estates are among Cameron Highlands' most recognizable landscapes, with plantations such as BOH Tea Garden at Sungai Palas offering views across rows of tea bushes and surrounding hills. Mossy Forest, near Brinchang, contains montane vegetation, moss-covered trees, orchids, and other plants adapted to the cool, humid environment. The highlands also have several waterfalls and forest trails, while farms cultivate strawberries, tomatoes, lettuce, herbs, and flowers. Gunung Brinchang and nearby forest areas provide access to higher elevations, with trails leading through habitats that differ from the cultivated valleys below.

Tea is central to the local food experience, with fresh tea served at plantations and cafés throughout the highlands. Strawberries are another familiar local product and appear in desserts, drinks, jams, and other preparations. Vegetable steamboat, often served with locally grown produce, is a popular meal suited to the cooler climate. Markets also sell sweet corn, honey, flowers, and fresh vegetables grown in the surrounding farms. A distinctive feature of Cameron Highlands is the way agriculture shapes nearly every part of the landscape, with tea estates and intensive vegetable cultivation occupying slopes alongside protected montane forest.
